Cruzbike’s patented Dynamic Boom Front Wheel Drive puts the stiff, efficient drive of a road bike on the front wheel, and lets you ride in a safer, more comfortable, more aerodynamic position.
Race and record proven: the V20c is a record-smashing design. Check out Matthew Lefthand’s 2026 Highest Weekly Mileage records, course and world records, in addition to 15 years of records set by other riders and teams.
85% of recreational cyclists report pain in their wrists, back, neck and/or groin after a ride. On a Cruzbike your weight rests on your back and seat, not on your hands and the saddle area.

Cruzbike’s design links the upper and lower body across the drivetrain, allowing you to add power when climbing or sprinting in much the same way professional cyclists do. Plus no long chains, no idlers, standard components.
A Cruzbike is not a low recumbent. You sit at eye level with car drivers, on standard wheel sizes, with a full forward view.
Almost anyone who can ride a traditional upright road bike can ride one. It takes days, not one ride: Cruzbike’s plan spreads your first 25 miles over 5 days, and you can always put your feet down.
Test rides don’t work well on a Cruzbike, because learning takes a few days. The 100 Mile Trial gives you a risk-free way to take your time.

The bike must be carefully disassembled and repacked in its original box. The V20c is not part of the trial; it comes with the My Fastest Bike Guarantee: be faster on your benchmark circuit after a year, or Cruzbike refunds the frameset price. It’s fast. It’s comfortable. It’s looks great. The fastest I was ever able to manage on a diamond frame was about 16mph. I am no great endurance cyclist, but on the V20c I am averaging 18mph and feeling no neck, wrist or hand pain. Truly a game changer for me.
I’ve struggled with saddle discomfort for years, but the S40 allows me to ride pain-free. The S40 was my first recumbent, so there was a bit of a learning curve. But now that I’ve gotten the hang of it, it’s a blast to ride.
After a bit of learning curve I’m happy to report that I love my A4x! Awesome bike and I’m really enjoying riding it. I’m slowly increasing my miles and now easily surpassing my normal miles on my old upright bike.
At age 71, I decided to take a chance on the Cruzbike T50. I’ll admit that it took me a couple of anxious weeks to learn to be confident on the bike. But, once the technique and muscle-memory kicked in, I began to love it.

V20c if speed is the point: PRs, races and records. S40 to replace a road bike that hurts, for group rides, long days and fast road touring. A4x for gravel, trails and loaded bikepacking. T50 for relaxed rides around town and a first Cruzbike.
Not sure? That is exactly what the free consultation is for.
Learning to ride a Cruzbike is not hard, but it can take time. Almost anyone who can ride a traditional upright road bicycle can ride one. Cruzbike’s plan spreads your first 25 miles over 5 days, a few miles each day, and you can always put your feet down. The learn-to-ride steps.
There is no frame size to choose. The V20c and S40 fit riders with an X-seam of 35 to 48 inches, about 5'2" to 6'5". The A4x fits about 5'4" to 6'4", the T50 5'3" to 6'4". Your X-seam: stand in a doorway without shoes and measure from the floor to your outstretched hand. How to measure it. Cruzbikes are rated for riders up to 250 lbs.
Buy a new, full-price S40, A4x or T50 Complete on cruzbike.com and ride it at least 100 miles within 100 days. If you don’t love it, email support@cruzbike.com, and Cruzbike sends you a return label and refunds the bike in full, return shipping included.
It is for first-time Cruzbike owners in the contiguous United States. The bike must go back carefully disassembled in its original box, following Cruzbike’s video; a poorly packed return has a minimum $500 repacking fee. Full terms.
The V20c is not part of the 100 Mile Trial, and Cruzbike’s refund policy says it cannot be returned; they support you through assembly instead. Its promise is the My Fastest Bike Guarantee: benchmark your current fastest bike, ride the V20c for a year, and if you aren’t faster on the same circuit 12 to 16 months after purchase, Cruzbike refunds the frameset price. Guarantee terms.
A Complete ships with the components pre-installed: plan 2 to 3 hours of assembly if you are a novice, about 30 minutes if you are an experienced mechanic. A frameset is the frame, front triangle, seat and handlebar, and your local bike mechanic does the build with the components you choose.
Note: the 100 Mile Trial applies to the Complete T50, A4x and S40. Framesets are not eligible for the trial.
In Cruzbike’s words, test rides actually don’t work well, because it takes a few days to learn. That is why the 100 Mile Trial exists. Some dealers keep demo bikes: find a dealer.
